‌International Journal of Language and Religion International University of Qom, Iran Call for Paper Language and its various uses play crucial roles in all religions. Besides, both language and religion are among the universals of human life. Conversion into a (or another) religion and performing various rituals take place via performing a host of speech acts and events. For centuries, religious scholarship proved a powerful impetus for researching linguistic, literary, and translational aspects of religious texts. This tremendous influence makes it necessary to delve more deeply into various modes of as well as connections between languages and religions. As a dominant motif for launching this journal, the range of research papers it welcomes for publication can include any language and religion. Contributors to this journal must develop their research papers in English. They must include an abstract of max. 250 words, followed by six keywords. For referencing purposes, use APA 7th edition (2017). Explanatory notes must appear as endnotes, numbered serially. Fragments, i.e., sentences and/or short paragraphs, to be quoted from texts in other languages must appear in English translation. Non-English words and phrases must appear within parentheses, following the English equivalents.
